The Guidelines
EP is currently looking for one line submissions.
It might be helpful to read “About,” first, but basically, one line contributes to a virtual exquisite corpse poem! Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis unless otherwise stated.
The current poem will be 7 lines, aka a demi-sonnet (see Erin Murphy’s discussion on the demi-sonnet, a form she invented). There is no particular theme, but you might take inspiration from the ideas a sonnet tends to embody.
There’s not a lot of rules to what you submit, but your line should be your own, original, and not generated from AI. Thanks.
Remember to only submit one line per email. You will find the selected line for the week under “The Current Line.” You are welcome to submit another line if your previous line wasn’t selected for the “current line.”
- To submit a line, simply email: ExquisitePoemsProject@gmail.com.
- Your subject should read: EP Line Submission. Besides your line, include what you want your line to link to: your website, a bio, a publication, etc.
